Chandubi Lake, alternatively referred to as Chandubi Beel, lies approximately 61 km away from Guwahati, Assam, offering a scenic retreat. Nestled near the Assam-Meghalaya border, the vicinity of Chandubi boasts numerous waterfalls collectively known as Chandubi Waterfall. Despite being commonly identified as Chandubi Waterfall by visitors, each fall holds its unique local name. This blog will explain all the waterfalls near Chandubi Lake.

Soloka Dare Waterfall in Baroigaon village

Soloka Dare Waterfall is the nearest waterfall to Chandubi Lake. This waterfall located near the Assam Meghalaya border is another hidden gem that you can explore from the Chandubi Lake picnic spot. There is a motorable road that takes you to this waterfall. The road condition is good and it is 12 km from Chandubi lake. You have to park your vehicle near the Baroigaon village and you have to trek a distance of 600 meters.

Alternatively, if you are visiting Ranikamahar picnic spot near Rani, Assam, you can visit this place. It is just 1 km from Rani Picnic spot.

Best time to visit: Opt for a trip during the monsoon season to avoid the heavy crowds of winter. Weekdays are preferable over weekends due to lesser congestion.

Ranikhamar Kafandonga Chandubi Waterfall

There are two routes to explore this waterfall: from Rani picnic spot and from Chandubi Lake. The route from Rani picnic spot to this waterfall is very easy and it is motorable road.

If  you want to explore this waterfall from Chandubi, you have to take a boat from the Chandubi picnic spot through the lake. Local guides or resort owners will arrange the boat for you. After the boat ride, you will arrive at the foothill of a small hillock. From there it’s a steep hike for 45 minutes and you will reach the base of the waterfall. Now, sit on the stone as water splashes coming from the waterfall hit your face, it’s heaven. The Boat ride will cost you approximately Rs 250 per person in the off-season for up and down.

Even though we have listed nearly only two places near Chandubi Waterfall, still there are many unexplored watefalls near Ranikhamar and Ukium village.
